Scribble Jam and iHigh: The Perfect Match

Scribble Jam Gives Back

As ready for Scribble Jam as we were, Scribble Jam was more than ready for iHigh.

Q: Did you have emcee's at your booth all weekend long?

A: Um, Yes.

Q: I heard someone at Scribble Jam had a vocal booth for everyone to flow on and then created a profile for them on-line to help promote their music? Was that you guys?

A : You know it. We also kicked off an online 16 bar compitition that will run through September 1st.

Q: That sounds pretty dope. What's that all about?

A: The Spitttin 16 Competition is going to pay off big for someone. Whom ever ripped the mic the hardest will win gear from Metaphoric Clothing, a meddalion from Complete Technique, a sick ADK mic and $500 in cash. Not to mention that we are going to feature them on both iHighmusic.com and Scribblejam.ihighmusic.com.

Q: Nice. How do I sign up?

A: Just log onto ihighmusic.com and look for the Spittin 16 competition link and you are in. You just create a profile, upload a your rhymes and win.

Q: So what was the vibe around your booth all weekend?

A: It was really amazing man. We went to Scribble Jam to help artists promote their music and give them a competition to participate in. We ended up having a home base for some very enthusiastic emcees.

Q: Really? What were they doing at your booth?

A: The vocal booth was the biggest hit. It seemed like everyone wanted to hop on the mic and lay down some rhymes. It was out of sight so they had the feeling as if they were in a real studio. For some it was the first time they had the opportunity to lay down a verse on a beat and then listen to it. And to be honest, the sound quality was great. Big ups to John Harrbison for running our studio away from home.

Q: Who is John?

A: (John) Harrbison is our VP of Design but that title can not hold him. He gave the real added value to thestudio portion of the booth by giving 100% to every artist that came by.

Q: Well no doubt they appreciated it.

A: It was a really cool event to be a part of. It was great to see people come up to the booth and walk away wearing an iHigh tee-shirt. They knew that we were there to help them promote themselves and expose their music to the masses. Everyone at Scribble Jam understands that hip hop is a life style. It is not all 20" rims and diamond bezeled jewelry. Hip Hop is hitting the streets and making it happen. It is putting everything you have into this one thing that you love and sticking with it through all the hardships. Some of the best emcees at Scribble had full time jobs. They killed it on the mic, but it doesn't always pay the bills. It is that reason that Scribble was the perfect place for iHigh to be. People Just Don't Know.

Q: Wow. Sounds like you guys made an impact.

A: I hope we did. I had an guy who told me how much he appreciated what we did for him and he got all choked up in the process. I simple told him that we wanted to give him some extra legs to get out there and hustle for him. He took that to heart knowing that he is constantly on the grind looking for ways to spread the word on his music.

Q: So are you focusing only on music at iHigh?

A: No. Not at all. We are launching with a heavy focus on music but we have other content channels that are to follow in the fall.
